The final weigh-in for the prestigious RNA Paddock to Palate competition was held at Mort &  Co’s Grassdale Feedlot on Tuesday 24/6/14.

This year the competition was fierce with 33 pens of all breeds and crosses.  The top 11 pens were separated by only 170 gms for the overall ADG  (Average daily gain).

An entry of Herford /Brangus steers owned by Galloway Cattle Co,  took out 3rd place with an overall ADG of 3.196kgs. with the top two results being 3.206 and 3.199kgs…………………..oooh so close !

The next 3 steps for the competition are Carcass, MSA Eating Quality, and the Beef Taste Off.
